Please make sure you enter a real email address otherwise you will not recieve your confirmation email. If you don't get an account, you can do barely anything special, just download files and read stuff. With an account, you can get your own stuff up here, and vote on excuses and sigs etc.
I would also like to emphasize, that you cannot change your username after signing up without signing up again. Hence the reason not to put clan tags in your username, when your clan dies, as they almost invariably do, you'll be stuck with a username that you don't really want. Instead, use the special clan fields that are available and can be edited later.
